Annual Meeting - Report

The Annual Meeting of the branch took place on 19th May at the Gateway Centre, North Methven Street, in Perth.

Chaired by Heather McQueen, who firstly welcomed those who attended in particular our guests patron Elizabeth Quigley, Local Network Officer Ken Munro and MS nurse Christine Whately.

Listening Books

We have been contacted by the charity Listening Books and believe they provide a useful service for people who find reading difficult. Listening Books is a postal and internet-based library service and becoming a member starts from as little as £20 a year.

We think this may be a useful service for people affected by MS and so we thought we should provide a link to their website Listening Books

Buddies @ Blair - Change of Venue to Cargill's

We've changed our meeting spot for our Blairgowrie group to Cargill's Bistro & Restaurant, Riverside, Lower Mill Street, Blairgowrie, PH10 6AQ.

We very much enjoyed our time using the Laird's House, however as they no longer open on Tuesdays we are lucky to have found another excellent alternative venue as a replacement.

Jute Bags - now on sale

We have just taken delivery of a limited edition of jute bags which we are selling to raise funds for the branch. They are hard-wearing, locally-produced and - we think - very stylish.

The bags are on sale at £3.50 and make a sound environmentally friendly alternative to plastic carriers. We will be bringing them to meetings in the new year or you can email Tracey - our fundraising expert on fundraising@msperth-kinross.org.uk .
