Support email - Technical Problems - Update

Unfortunately, we are experiencing some technical problems with the support email address. This means that until further notice we are unable to access any contact emails and so we can't respond within the times stated. We are sorry that this is happening and are doing our best to make sure it is resolved as soon as possible.

Mainly Socialising @ Queen's Hotel

From now on our Mainly Socialising meetings at Queen's Hotel in Perth will take place at Monarch House at Queen's Hotel. Monarch House is the bungalow in the Queen's Hotel Car Park. Occasionally there may be a change to this arrangement but if that happens we will notify you here and on our Facebook page.

We had used Monarch House at one of our July meetings and it proved a success. As numbers grow, using Monarch House also means that we get greater privacy and more room.

Appointment of Heather McQueen as Acting Branch Chair - Message from Vice Chair Stephen Kennedy

After Jim Crichton sadly stood down as Chairman for health reasons, the Committee of the Perth & Kinross branch met on 2nd September and unanimously agreed to appoint Heather McQueen as Acting Chair.

Heather gave a brief presentation of her plans and will continue as Acting Chair until the next Annual Meeting when she will be eligible to be endorsed for appointment as Chair.

We look forward to working with her and giving her the support of the full Committee.

The branch at Tesco in Blairgowrie

The branch were given an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the condition and the branch activities at a stall in Tesco, Blairgowrie on Saturday 16 August.

We were keen to see a lot of interest in the information on the stall (we even had a queue) and we obviously have a lot of local support for the work we do as we managed to raise a staggering £432.

We would like to thank our volunteers for helping us man the stall - and all those who contributed.

Branch Fundraising events for 2016

As one of our priorities for the year we said we were going to hold a quarterly fundraising event.

Although we are a bit late with our first one -we are planning on having a stall at McDiarmid Park Car Boot Sale on Sunday 17th April.

Please come along - get yourself a bargain and support the branch.

Other events coming up for MS week will be notified here, on Facebook and in our next newsletter.
